Geoff, regarding the previously mentioned CS-77, do you know the Pioneer CS-66 speakers? They should be of the same gen and I could get my hands in 2 pairs of those but I'm a bit doubtful of their real value, sound and price wise.

I'd imagine they sound decent enough. Don't be put off by the cone tweeter. The Japs made some rather good sounding ones. I reckon these would be worth having at a sensibly modest price. The sensitivity should be high, so they'd probably work nicely on just a few watts and may suit a valve amp well. I personally reckon they might be worth £80?

I spotted these earlier this week and the missus and I were having a giggle over the name of the village where they are located. I lived in Kent for 20 years and I've not heard of it, must be down in the south of the county as I know North Kent very well. Interesting speakers :)Quote:
