One of my favourite John Mayall albums, although my absolute favourite is USA Union.

Leroy Carr..Prison Bound Blues

Leroy was highly respected in his short life(died at 30), with the likes of Nat King Cole stylising their voice on his crooning style.
These recordings are obviously old as he died in the 30's so heavy noise reduction is in place. Still, the sound is acceptable

Another golden oldie now.. Henry Thomas.

Henry played Texas blues and accompanied himself with homemade panpipes, that were called quills.
Various modern stars were influenced by him, including Taj Mahal and Bob Dylan.

Move on a few decades to 1970 and BB King with this.
