No. They are as Grant describes and for small PA systems. I tried a pair ('cos they were cheap) and they're horribly coloured due to poor damping and they lack anything ressembling bass due to the small box and high resonance light paper cone with stiff surround.Quote:

Think the DC6 was a bit better and sure they did a floorstanding version as well. My 637's are what you'd like I think.
I also know that the AMS8 is supposed to be a very good speaker but the only pair I've seen are an Active pair and I have no idea if they are any good and how on earth I would use an 'Active' speaker... :D
