Simon re xovers,I used the original xovers that were supplied with my HPD385's. Not totally suitable now for horns(looking at something external), however they have been upgraded with new caps etc.
How are you traveling now with the new drivers.

All fine now, baffles re cut for the HPD 385's, new cross over boxes made up, cross overs are developing, start point was the 385 cross over bet a few tweaks needed for extra bass efficiency which could eventually mean transplanting the Autotransformer from the original cross overs into the external ones but will see how it sounds first, just waiting on damping material to turn up then ready to go!

Nice work on the boxes, Simon. Yes I did the same just transferred the original cover, set the levels to flat and dropped in the cabinet. Keep me posted mate

Well they are working, please ignore the source, waiting on Well Tempered to be joined by a phono stage next week. Still work in progress, need to fit the bases. The sound is not quiet right, muddled and recessed in the mids and no real high end sparkle but.....but they are, even that said, astonishingly dynamic and physical.

I think a better source will help a lot here, some damping (but not a lot) and a few tweaks in the cross overs high filter settings etc. Here are some pics of them as they stand.

Yes, I fully appreciate big speakers and they look massive even compared with mine. Gorgeous things, I hope you can tune them in.
