This one belong here in the classical thread? I suppose this version does, with these performers. For me, all questions of idiom and suitability melt away when Kiri sings the first lines of Tonight. And if you want another view, you play one of the other versions.

Last night was (largely) Khachaturian night.
His ballet music is justly famed, but his symphonies and concertos are great, too ...
His 3rd symphony on this release was surprisingly (to me) good, with an impressive part for organ :eek:
