Here's me, once again offering deep gratitude to Barry for acts above and beyond the call of duty.

Barry sold to me a Goldring G99 turntable, Decca arm & cartridge, as previously seen on this very forum.

This deal was so significant that it had to take place in neutral territory - a different country, in fact! No-one else would have us, so the Welsh took pity on us, hosted the event & provided witnesses to ensure that fair play was seen to be done.
Cardboard boxes were transferred from car to car, cheques were written, hands were shaken & beer was quoffed. Job done!

Secret agent Chris (codename: The Grand Wazoo) was waiting with co-agent Misha. I turned up with my Welsh contact, and ‘puppet master’ Marco, being cognoscent of the whole operation, was ready to swing into action should there be any hiccup with ‘transfer’. After exchange of the correct coded phrases and secret Masonic handshake the transfer was successfully made

Thanks to Dave Brooks (Mains Cables R Us) for the No14 Mains Cable. I highly recommend this product and the service from Dave was excellent. However, I am now wishing I'd ordered a slightly longer lead as this one is just a wee bit too short which resulted in me having to rearrange my rack. Oh well, that'll teach me to measure up beforehand next time. :doh:
