My friend had an A60 from new but I must say that I was never impressed with it... far too warm and fluffy for my liking ;)

I've had a couple and that's how I found them. The NAD 3020 and Audiolab 8000 offered a similar type of sound too in my view. They have the type of inoffensive character that makes them easy to slot into a system without getting 'nasties', but they're not for me.
