I watched that first time round and recalled it being quite good but they repeated it a couple of years ago and I tried watching it again and it hasn't aged well. Bob's always good, though.

Just been watching The Bridge At Remagen, another one I've not seen in years.

inclined to agree. it has aged and although Mitchum is a class act he was physically well past his prime. Still well done though but not a patch on the book.

Remagan was on yesterday i think. meant to record it. doh!

Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth and Helena Bonham-Carter. Say no more - superb!

Not my sort of movie. But Geoffrey Rush was great in 'The Tailor of Panama'.

Tonight just put on the restored Blu Ray version of Powell & Pressburger's The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp starring Roger Livesey as Blimp

Just turned the telly back on and Friday the 13th is on...never seen it...was confronted with a guy giving a rather attractive gal one doggy in a tent then all hell broke loose :lolsign:


Not really my style tbh, but she was rather nice :)


Think I will watch "Appointment in London"
