Well, there you go... I've always been used to having superb tap water available wherever I've lived.

When I lived in Glasgow, we got our water from the Trossachs/Campsie Fells (doesn't get much purer), and here it comes off the Berwyn mountains. There's simply no taste advantage in using filters or buying mineral water.

Anyway mate, enjoy... Even your tea and coffee will taste better:)

They still add chlorine to it though. I know people think you can't get better water than drinking from a mountain spring but it's a good way to get parasites. You have to boil it first or use a sanitab.

Nationally the water will be chlorinated to a certain percentage, regardless of your postcode. Macca may simply be more sensitive to differences than Marco when it comes to drinking water. Marco's water may well be coming from somewhere nice, but is still likely to pick up the odd dead sheep or shepherd turd along the way.

I hear in Wales they marinate the drinking water in dead sheep before sending down the pipes...

drink spring water... mind you, the rest of the year is s bugger:eek:

Sure, but there's no discernible chlorine taste, unlike with many other types of tap water I've tried. Therefore, essentially it tastes the same as mineral water, thus there is no real advantage in buying the latter:)

Yes but when you're as friendly with 'Bessie' (and her pals), as I am, your palate is so honed on sheep-juice, you don't really notice the extra flavour the above imparts. It's like having orange juice with added 'bits', although in this case the 'bits' in question don't come from oranges.

always drink bottled water.. prefer evian, now i can afford it again, although buxton is not bad and cheaper. not much wrong with our tap water but its soft, and thus not so enjoyable to drink.. your equipment doesnt furr up tho so a benefit there
