Crap weather for October 2026

What it used to look like at the end of my street:

Windy, but no gale force winds here yet... Pished down all day yesterday (no winds), but dry now, and 10°C.

A very wet 9c so far also a bit of wind.

Pishing down again now and windy (not gale force, though), and 11°C.

Windy here too but yes, not gale force - I was looking at the gust speed not the sustained speed. Can't get used to their new website design.

Been raining all afternoon, and to be fair, that is what was forecast.

Which one do you use? I only use the BBC Weather one - and I don't know why, it's about as accurate as reading tea leaves.

The rain has arrived with some wind , road flooded , cars moved just before the water reached door level.

Well, I walked the mutt, did the shopping, then tackled the torn shed roof. Took me two hours and I timed it just right. As I was finishing, the wind was picking up and it was spitting with rain. Now it's a slightly less ferocious copy of last night!

Met Office one. It's only occasionally badly wrong. Plus you can look at the radar prediction and do your own forecast. :)
