That sound support tonearm mount can be bettered. I used to have one then went to the solid copper version from Mike New which was a big upgrade and then finally ended up with a solid ebony mount from Speed Steve of Magma Audio, the detail retrieval went up a whole level. Well worth the dosh.

+1 - The ebony armboard is excellent. Must be something to do with it being wood which in my experience tends not to add any 'unatural', 'metallic' or 'coloured / resonance flavour' to the sonics like some other materials can.Quote:
