It does make me wonder who would, in their right mind, expect so much money for the items and, how 'thick' any buyer would be to pay such an inflated price.

There are two or three Beolit radios for sale. I've always admired their styling, but there are more important things for me to spend money on at the moment. :(
Seen these in the flesh very weird possibly Omni design no manufacturer label on them :scratch:

They may be unusual, but don't look a particularly high quality build. As Martin suggests, the price is a joke.
look like a set of speakers that have then been converted to be omni... and its all a bit crowded
Anything is possible, but they look manufactured to me.
I'm interested to see how much this Sony TA-88 goes for:

Already up to £70 even though it is untested and sold spares or repair. I used to have one, fully working, plus two of the matching tuners that light up orange and green
Proper stuff but the amp only has 10 watts or something. I sold it for twenty notes and I think I gave the tuners away. Stupid of me.
I had a couple of those and the similarly sized Goodmans Maxamp, all boot sale jobs bought for peanuts.
Got mine out the local paper I think I paid a fiver. Some old boy having a clear-out.
That was about 1992 though, when being on a fiver an hour was considered good money. Well round here it was, anyway.
That Sony amp sold for £85
TDL RTL2 floorstanding speakers in Greenford, West London. Starting price £20, no bids yet, potential bargain.
These are good speakers. No view of the drivers, which hopefully are original and undamaged. Declon acoustic foam in ports missing (no big deal).

Tannoy 635 floorstanding speakers in Uxbridge, West London. Minor cosmetic issues, but look OK generally. Well worth the £100 BIN asking price for rather nice sounding speakers. Or bids start at £60.

good drivers.. guess cases could be redone
Goldring GL75 turntable with Leak Stereo 30 amp in speaker console (no speakers).
Untested but looks all there, bids open at £29.99. In Arundel.

That system is near identical to what the landlord of my student digs used: GL75 (with, I think a Shure M75) via a Leak Stereo 70 into a KEF Kit 3 with a cast cement enclosure.
The Leak Stereo 30 will sound pretty dated now. Based on a design by Jack Dinsdale, it used germanium transistors.
Correct for 10 points ..

Nasty speakers for a mere £65? Described as "overall nice condition", they look as though they've been dragged out of a skip! In good condition they'd be a fiver at a boot sale.

God loves a trier, though AFAIK God isn't looking to change his speakers just now.
Won these for £1.99  postage was more
Revolver Riicochet
What bargain, shame about the postage :)
With SEAS drivers in they will be worth it.
I bet these Shure styli fetch silly money. I'm quite interested myself, but can envisage the bids shooting up, they are scarce now.

Seeing the Shure M75ED takes me back to my student days. Had one for a while before getting a Shure V15/III, which was considered to be the best available.
After that, I abandoned Shure and turned my attention to ADC (an ADC25 and 26, as well as a couple of 10E/IVs), Ortofon (SL15E/II) and Decca (Blue). Still have most of these cartridges.
Nice collector's item here. Sony 5011 turntable, built by Lenco and looks like an L75 derived arm on an L72 base/platter assembly.
Looks in super condition, I'd quite like it :).

Rare and collectable Alba UA700 integrated amplifier from the early seventies. Cheap enough to be worth a tinker with, they had a reputation for good sound quality.

i didnt know they did anything decent,i back in the 80's they were thought of in the same vein as amstrad, walthem and all the other crap.cheap stereo systems.
Five quid speakers anybody, how about these horrors?

If I saw them in a skip I'd leave 'em there.
just curious but if you were nearby would the drivers not be worth stripping out?
I suppose it comes down to how handy you are at building speakers and also just what the drivers are. My garage and car port are already full of assorted cack that looks like it might come in handy one day. If I added those speakers to the pile Mrs. P would probably leave me, or more likely give me grief and not make me any tea.
A bargain? I don't think so!

maybe a ton?
