Bit of advice from the coffee experts in the house please...?
Have a mokka pot, but not using it as much as I thought I would, being a lazy sod.
The boys got a delonghi bean to cup, not an expensive one and have to say it makes a great cuppa.
Any reccy’s for a good machine?
More interested in quality of the cup, so don’t need a marble and onyx fronted spendy pro machine, if one at 300 nicker will do the job, in black, then Job’s a good ‘un.
Any reccys appreciated.
if you must go bean to cup :D then this will probably do well and near budget..https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sage-BES875...s%2C148&sr=8-5
Its all in one which isnt ideal as it puts all your eggs in one basket...but...
i use this which is probably similar... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sage-BES810...gateway&sr=8-3
and ..
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sage-BCG820...s%2C155&sr=8-1
but you'll pay a bit more..... I will be better if your gonna work at it but if your lazy then the first is better option.
or a good pod machine if you dont care:ner:
I care, I care !!
Mokka pot with the Sage grinder made great coffee, was just taken back by how convenient the bean to cup De'Longhi was.
Maybe I’m moving away from the “hands on” approach as I get older!
No doubt the all in one is convenient and with a little patience will make great coffee. My new machines work very well and im pleased with the reliability etc. but even though ive made coffee for years it still took time and trial to get best out of it. The ratings look fairly solid
if you still have the sage grinder then just get the duo temp. its a nice machine, or you probably could just use your own grinder with the all in one if it gives better results.
Thanks Grant.
Seems daft getting the all in one if I already paid for the Sage grinder (it’s a good’un) and I’m usually just a plain coffee kinda guy, no flat whites or frappe-lappa-tae’s or whatever.
The matching Sage like you have obviously passes the Stuth coffee test, and frankly that’s good enough for me.
(And it comes in black :D)
Thanks mate.
One of the biggest upgrades imo is to use one of these for your water.

Magnesium water really improves everything crema included
Added to the list... :D
