depends a lot on its road tax situation i guess. looks ok
Had a quick look at seller's feedback, he's not new to this kind of thing. A previous would-be buyer complained that they had a wasted 8 hour round trip for something that was a lot shitter than described... seller had taken £500 deposit, only returned £300 of it and is now not answering his phone. So that's the end of that :( Couldn't really afford it anyway, but we can dream.
had a earlier version of transit, or maybe it was later im not sure now. was old then as all the other guys were driving the newer shape...be in 90's.. was good old van tbh and rarely gave any issues bar the heater
like this if memory serves but black, and all kitted out with a wood roof to walk on etc

That is proper. Make a great campervan, better than VW Transporters, which are common as muck :)
The world's first passenger train!

I rode on this many times as a kid, it was like a big tram. Everybody loved it apart from the penny-pinching powers that be.
no doubt some other transport system was suffering because of it
on the way into work, bloke in front of me waltzing along smoking a bifta. Big weight-lifting type of bloke. Seven-thirty in the morning!
I suppose he might have been up all night.
And you was following in his footsteps, literally. Since you mention it, the last time I was on a bus, it just smelled of people who had been smoking weed. It's unmistakable, and everywhere.
Saw this driving through Preston the other day:

Big business, obviously.
I don't know if you've ever tried Diamond White but the only reason you would choose it over drain cleaner is that it's cheaper.
It's a cheeky number that will slip down well with a kebab or a Kentucky.
For fish though I would probably suggest a Pinot Noir...
Wikipedia has a useful article, even going so far as to suggest alternatives for the chronic alkie on a tight budget:

Ate all the food in the house by Thursday, had Kentucky last night but no choice today other than go to the supermarket.
Usually I go on a Sunday as it's quiet and the trouble with going on Saturday is it's moron day. I was prepared for the worst and got it. Three checkouts open but all with long queues. My previous profiling research is pressed into service:
One queue has single bloke, followed by middle age couple followed by old lady with about six items.
Second has young couple buying a shedload and then about four blokes on their own with just a few items, and an old lady with a mini-trolley behind them
Queue three has young couple buying clothes then more old ladies with full baskets
Reckon single bloke with middle age couple behind is the best bet. Single blokes are quick to pack and pay, and middle age and older couples tend to work as a team and are efficient. I know the old lady will faff about but she only has six items, so I join queue one.
Things look up when the old lady decides to switch queues and I move forward to behind middle age couple.
Problem is the single bloke actually getting served is not only buying a shedload - his bill was £130! - he is packing so slowly it is difficult to believe you are seeing it. Even when all the scanning is done and the bird tells him how much he owes, instead of just paying, taking his trolley to one side and reorganizing his bags there while others are served, he ignores the request for payment and starts cocking about - moving a cabbage from one bag to another for example - and all in slow motion, like he is underwater or something.
This went on for minutes. Really had to bite my lip not to say anything, but if you create a ruckus they ban you and that would mean shopping at Lidl which I can't endure.
Nevertheless it's hard to cope with the ignorance of some people. In an ideal world he would be beaten to death, right there by the checkout, and everyone would cheer.
Finally he is done and pisses off. Then I realise the middle age couple are doing that thing where you split the shop into two lots and pay separately. The muppet can't get his card to read, so that takes forever, then he pays for the second lot on the same card anyway.
Comes to me and I am packed and paid in thirty seconds. Why would it take longer? Really what the fuck is wrong with people?
I rarely go over thirty quid. I suppose I could spend £40 but then it's another fiver to get a useful delivery slot. Spending £50 is really pushing it, I just don't need that much.
Plus I don't find the Sainsbury's site to be very user friendly, it takes forever to locate the stuff I want. Actually quicker just to nip round the corner in person.
Yeah, "Skid mark resistant" might be a better slogan, but you'll never see that will you. People are so vain.
I bet they think those songs are about them.
Brilliant Martin and I have observed this happen soooo many times!
last time I got a bus they wouldn't take cash. Card only. Or pay on your 'phone which I have no idea how to do.
Does speed up the whole process though so I give it that.
not sure.. guess they may have an app, or use google pay?
Can't remember the last time I got a bus. I was probably pissed.
cant really use public transport. on off would be perilous as would getting up whilst it was moving. thats main reason a car is essential. i have great difficulty getting in a car now too...
You know, I'm tired of telling the lad he needs to wash his van. It's been months now, and if it were me I'd be embarrassed to turn up at a customer's house.
I often see vans with 'wash me' in the paintwork. I'm thinking of going one step further and doing a big cock and balls on the back, using T Cut and Auto Glym Super Resin Polish. Maybe that will get his arse into gear.
:D Yeah I see that one quite a lot. He doesn't have a wife though, and isn't likely to, unless she was really dirty. He does however now have a girlfriend - Mrs. P has told me that if they're still together at Christmas I have to start calling her by her real name, and stop referring to her as 'Pramface'.
not so tall(about 5'10" tops now as ive lost 2 inches; maybe more due to joints compressing. biggest issue is neck doesnt bend so much now due to the spondylitis....that alas is getting worse as is left hip.
costs are a major issue with motability at moment, and there are few biggish suvs on it what are there are several grand extra
Anita's Motability is different to yours - she gets an amount paid in each month, and is free to buy whatever she chooses, new or secondhand. It's paid for our Volvo S60. But she does probably lose out in other ways (servicing, road tax etc). But it can bring higher-spec motors into our budget than if we had to get new.
yeah i could do that but need a lot of cash down.. as you say at least motability is 'all in'..all i do is pay the leccie bill, which isnt too much as i dont do a lot of miles. cheaper than petrol still although not by as much. i kinda need all the latest aids tho to help me now. its a big boon. also the heating up of car in winter before going out is great
have had the fitters in all morning striping out my old bathroom before a new system is installed. they are ripping out the old wet floor, which was made of wood with a non slip covering. so far most of floor is out as is basin.. the guy has only fell through the ceiling of kitchen once so its all pos
On a Bank Holiday? usually hard enough to get a tradesman in on a normal week day. Few holes in the kitchen ceiling small price to pay for that level of service I'd have thought.
Although just occurred to me it might not be a Bank Holiday in Scotland...
no, it is a bank holiday here. i was surprised too. next monday is too. they will patch it up. hoping new bathroom will be dogs bollocks:eyebrows:
