That has scam written all over it

I think they were about seventy grand when they came out and went down to forty-odd so the price is about right. The amps are built in so there's a savings.
Using a stock photo is a bit dodgy, I guess you turn up with your briefcase full of cash and get bopped on the head.
Totem Arro speakers in Blackburn, collect only. Starting price less than £50! Nice sounding dinky floorstanders.

Very rare Monitor Audio 'Monitor 9' speakers £90 or offer. I've not heard any, but they should be good being little brothers of the R852MD. I don't think he knows what model they are, postage is reasonable so well worth making an offer if you fancy compact speakers from what some may describe as the Monitor Audio golden era. Might be tempted myself! :)

Not so much little brother as cheaper later version. But still sound nice for the money, I've owned 2 pairs and never not enjoyed listening to them. I did pay less than £50 for each pair though.

They certainly have.
Am I missing something here....this guys a dreamer...

Oooh! I'd love these, can't afford them though. Acapella ion plasma tweeters. Amazing things!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acapella-...%7C3000%7C7000
I've heard the speaker they are used in. They glow at you! there's a radiant plug of plasma in the horn throat that is modulated to impart the signal into the air in front of it (I think that's right :)) They look amazing with the lights low.......Not as amazing as the Magnat plasma orbs though!!
B&W used this tech in their first or very early speakers I think. I've always wanted to hear a pair. I believe they have a finite shelf life but could be wrong.

Late Celestion HF2000 tweeters attracting a lot of bids. It'll be interesting to see what they fetch.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-Cele...53.m1438.l2649
Good pairs are getting pretty rare now and attracting higher prices.
my celestion 130's have the less desireable 1001 tweeter.. still they sell from 20 to 40 each, so probably worth more than the speakers lol. the 8" long throw drivers are decent too. i must get them stripped and dump cabs which is a shame
Blimey. Sold at £277! Must be a record.
Dodgy looking NAD 804 speakers. Original dome tweeters missing and nasty cheap piezo items fitted, port tubes missing and grilles missing. Horrible!

Hope nobody's daft enough to buy these.
For NAD amp fans. 230 different schematics and manuals on one DVD. I just bought one and there's only one more left!!

Looks like KEF Kit 3 in a coffin to me! :)
Boxes are too big, but worth having for spares as they are late series drivers.
£300 would be about my limit for a good set of pukka Concertos.
That's the sort of money I sold mine for 5 years ago but vintage speakers so seen to have gone up .
I remember reading that the Concerto cabinet was sub optimal in size for the drivers which I do buy given the B139 can work with more volume I think. So these might be quite nice actually. If it was me I'd upgrade the crossover to the improved aB variety that I think Falcon Acoustics do.

They have now changed the description to Kef hybrid speakers

Been looking at all sorts of stuff recently, especially AV receiver's and one thing keeps cropping up on eBay and that is older receivers without a remote control, sometimes this is not such an issue but with old Cambridge AVR'S like the 540r with it's linear style volume control it is.
I've lost count on how many I've seen for sale at inflated prices without the remote? Makes me wonder what are they doing with it? They were pretty hefty well made things as I remember.
Hi Grant.
Yes very probably, saw a 551r and again no remote, and asking 495 for it? He's having a laugh.
