These Roths may not be the greatest but for 40 notes are still a decent buy. A fibreglass hybrid driver and a 25mm black diamond silk dome tweeter. Pickup at Bristol

These give 15W RMS per channel and sound pretty good to me.

Heatsink really needs to be a bit bigger for continuous high power use. I have stuck on an old computer processor heatsink.
Thinking about it, would be difficult to beat this for a brand new power amp including postage.
I have mine feeding a nice pair of B&W DM4's, sounding excellent.
Slight mistake, I see they are now charging 5p for postage, mine was free.
Haven't tried those, but these were also good-

Question is: Are they better suited to the collector or the listener ? I'm betting the former...
Well spotted, does look a bit funny, but I don't think it is melted. The one on my unit looks OK though.
Just seen even cheaper:

I wonder if the dead spider gives added value, most speakers have the spiders on the inside. I reckon these might be quite good.

Very rare but they appear to be missing the MGC-1e control unit which is essential for successful operation of the speakers. See here for more info
I am literally drooling - Pioneer HPM-1500
I think we have a problem with definitions here. Can someone clarify what 'outstanding condition' means?

Jeez-sus!
Wouldn't like to see their shop soiled stuff:mental:
Another overpriced item. Tannoy DC2000 with a £350 asking price. That's £250 more than they're worth!

Apparently they're rare. That must be why I've seen several pairs for sale recently .
Buy yourself a Christmas present. An unusual piece of audio:

The thing about speakers like that is that, like my Akais, whilst they will easily hold their own with a brand new speaker around the same asking price hardly anyone realises this so the actual market worth is a lot, lot lower. £500 would be more realistic and they probably wouldn't fetch even that.
HOW MUCH!!! :rfl::scratch: Am I missing something??

I can only assume that the cartridge is made of platinum-plated unobtainium.

£400 for a Rogers Cadet pre-amp?
From Emporium Hi-Fi who are usually sensible with their prices.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rogers-vin...item3ceb1bfc66
Last time I had one of these, with power amp, I sold them for £65. Mind you it was a few years ago, but it's not much of a pre-amp, lightweight and bloomy. Crap really.
Its that famous Rogers name; it does wonders with the non knowledgeable
Quad 22s go for half that, and TBH, unless you're using for 78rpm record eq they aren't much use without a lot of work.
Nice MA R952... Pity about the condition :( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3910125974...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
What do we think of Allison speakers then chaps ? Pair of "CD6" on eBay that look ripe for renovation :hmm:

Visually these two are very nice indeed. especially that Boots Audio receiver. 80wpc apparently and the styling suggests to me that Yamaha may have been the manufacturer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-si...25312533&rt=nc
Hefty professional JBL speakers in London. 15" bass & big mid/top horns. Lovely! I'd buy these If I had the room.
