Hang on - I think we're talking about different Maxims here. I'm talking about the Maxim, Maxim 2 and especially the Maxim 3 from the 80s/90s (which were the main Wharfedale Diamond competitors), not the originals which, in my humble opinion, are good and impressive for their size, but not worth the prices being asked for them.
That said though, I've owned two pairs of the 1960s Maxims - one pair cost me £1 from the car boot sale, the other £3 from my local dump. :eyebrows:
