A much underrated composer, imo.
Just popped into one of the charity shops in Wrexham and obtained the following, all on minty-mint vinyl [50p each]:
Brahms - Symphony No1, with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rudolf Kempe, on EMI records, from 1959.
Handel/Vivaldi/Gluck - Pachelbel Canon, with The Academy of Ancient Music, conducted by Christopher Hogwood, on Decca Records ‘Editions De L’Oiseau-Lyre', from 1981.
Mozart - Symphony No 32/35 and 39, by the English Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras, on ASV Digital Records, from 1985.
Debussy - Nikita Magaloff ‘Piano Works’, on Concert Hall Records, from 1969.
Vaughan Williams - Dona Nobis Pacem 'Toward the Unknown Region’, with Sheila Armstrong (soprano), John Carol Case (baritone) and the London Philharmonic Choir/Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult, on EMI ‘His Masters Voice’ Records, from 1973.
Bohuslav Martinů - Concerto for Violin and Orchestra/Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, with Bruno Belcik (violin), Josef Palenicek (piano) and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Vaclav Neumann and Karel Ancerl, on Supraphon Records, from 1962.
Martinů - Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra. Strauss - Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra, with Frantisek Hantak (oboe) and the BRNO State Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Martin Turnovsky and Jaroskav Vogel, on Supraphon Records, from 1963.
Tchaikovsky - Sextet ‘Souvenir de Florence’, with Mikhail Kopelman (violin), Andrei Arbamenkov (violin), Dmirti Shebalin (viola), Yuri Bashmet (viola), Valentin Berlinsky (cello) and Nalalia Gutman (piano), on Melodya Records, from 1980.
And lastly, ‘An Anthology of Elizabethan Keyboard Musick’, played by Michael Thomas on the claviorganum, positive organ, chamber organ, double manual harpsichord, single manual harpsichord and clavichord, on Saga Records, from 1966.
Off to clean them now, and then have a listen! Any gems in here, Jerry, or are they just a load of old tat? :D

P.S oh, and a CD of Bruch’s Violin Concerto No1/Scottish Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra, with Kyung Wha-Chung (violin), and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rudolf Kempe, on Decca, from 1999 [original recording from 1972]: an ‘ADD’ analogue-to-digital remaster, for £1.00.
