Geoff. I'd rather stare at my feet all day.

My amplifier has them, although you can turn the illumination off or on. :eyebrows:
I like the electronic 80’s versions, they look great with you have synthwave playing!
Edit
Did I just say that out aloud? :sofa:
Meters are too small. These will improve the sound of your system (as analogue meters ALWAYS DO) to a much greater extent:

:ner:
The amp it's stood on looks interesting.
This is 50 quid cheaper: http://ebay.co.uk/itm/264737305221
But as the man says, they're too small.
Have a couple of these for a preamp: http://eBay.co.uk/itm/321236001999
But if you you're going to get meters, get - BIG ones. McIntosh ones 8" x 4":

Tannoy Audio Metric speakers in scruffy non-original condition at £995. Optimistic to say the least, I wouldn't offer a tenth of that even if I wanted them, which I don't!

And no, they are not dual concentrics!
Thought they looked familiar

Not a bad mark up considering he paid just over £400 for them here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tannoy-To...p2047675.l2557
Edit.
Too late to the party :(
Only a real dummy would pay his price. Unfortunately, there are a few about.
Looks interesting. Musical Fidelity X-Cans headphone amp, upgraded with Audio Note capacitors.

Oh for goodness sake, there’s other nice stuff on there you know. At this rate, you might as well just rename this bloody thread to “crappy old Tannoys on eBay” :(
Charming.
Nice copper pan set here, Adam, for the copper valve amp aficionado with a Captain Nemo fetish. Whaddya think?

'Not Tannoy' Quad Vena at a sensible price.

And more of a bargain than this, I'd wager:
http://ebay.co.uk/itm/153969411707
But surely, the pans are a bargain in anyone's language.
Well he does say it cost him £450 on having it serviced. Robbed if you ask me. But, this is how crazy some people are. Even a Nait 1 would give you practically £300 change - and it's a better amp.
space ships for sale....

Well hardly. Not at that price. I was going on visuals only. If you want pukka copper pans - you're going to have to pay pukka copper pan prices. That's how it goes... Set here with WOODEN OAK HANDLES! That would SERIOUSLY add to the Nemo experience in my book. Do look to have seen a bit of action though:

Ortofon Quintet Black mc here for someone https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ortofon-Q...8AAOSwkJ1e5TJz
It is the original with the boron cantilever. The later versions have a sapphire cantilever instead (Quintet Black S), due to a global shortage of boron, so Ortofon decided that the boron would be for their mc's above the Quintet Black.
I've had one of these and they were/are regarded as an mc bargain at new price and I can only agree.
Shibata stylus, boron cantilever, it is quality and a quality performer.
Detailed, smooth, balanced - think a refined upgrade over the excellent 2M Black mm.
Doubt you'd get a better mc at £425, so if you've ever wanted to try one.... Seller accepting offers as well, so this probably could be had for £400
I messaged the seller - who I do not know incidentally :) (he has 100% positive feedback over 995 transactions). He replied immediately as below:
Hi
Yes the Quintet Black is the first version. It s in excellent condition as I've kept it as a spare. It s been used lightly for around 50 hours so plenty of life ahead of it.
Jon
I'd have this myself for use after my Cadenza has worn, but funds don't permit at the mo :(
Don't be tempted. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MISSION-7...kAAOSwZwld0vUL
This is not 'the' Mission 774 arm. It's a 774 LC, a budget item from Japan and would normally sell for around £100.
I had one of those arms, came on a budget Mission turntable back in the 80's. The whole lot cost £100 less than that, brand new.
Just looking on ebay for a few bits and bobs and came across this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thorens-T...YAAOSwW4Jd8rf- it's got the rare R version don't you know so obviously that makes it far more valuable, what a muppet:doh::eek::lol::lol:
To be fair the SME "-R" arms are difficult to find and will be expensive (a cursory look on the web showed few available, and all were priced at well above $1,000).
That said, the asking price of £1,200 for the complete TT and arm does seem to be on the high side.
