You know Dominic, I remember at the time thinking it sounded like Aretha Franklin, but I'd taped it off Pete Tong's Friday night thingy. He only introduced it as Clivilles & Cole, and gave no other details. I had no internet back then, and there definitely wasn't Shazam.

How did we manage? Lost count of the number of times I'd arrive at my destination in the car halfway through a great track and sat there till the end. Only for the song to go straight into something else :doh: Dance music programmes were the worst for doing that.

And sometimes I'd write down the name of a song, then enquire at the record shop, only to be greeted with a blank stare. I think most of PT's playlist were ahead of release dates, and I'm betting many never became commercially available.

Now that your ep has put it back in my head I'll look it up. But it probably won't be as good as I remember it. Those were different times :)

Oh you are so right, hanging for the end of a track to find out what it was only for it to segue straight in to the next :mad:

I was never big into dance music, but I have a few EP's that stood out, 'Theme from S Express' and Chad Jackson's 'Hear the Drummer Get Wicked' spring immediately to mind :)
