supposed to be sunny showers here all day but right now it's not sunny or raining.
Rained during the night, and just started again. Bit cooler than yesterday too.
After a wet night, still some rain about and 8c.
Had a bit of rain earlier, went for a walk and it's quite pleasant out. No direct sun but it's warm and a little humid with no wind.
Plenty of direct sun here, and quite warm. There goes my excuse for not weeding and stopping in with some tunes instead.

I cut our grass a few days ago, and I now have to leave it alone until after Monday, when we are having someone round to treat the lawn. I sacked off the previous lot (Greenthumb) who in spite of their efforts (and invoices) have managed to get the lawn looking its worst in years.
We told this new bloke (who sounds like the Reform Party of the gardening world) we'll give him a year to make good on his promises. I suspect he'll end up blaming it on the previous firm.
Who'd have thought gardening could be so political? Could be worse, we could be living in Trumpland, where they'd probably fix the problem by bombing your neighbour's lawns to make yours look good.
My mother has a gardener but not sure what he does since the lawn is in a terrible state. Suspect he just cuts down stuff that's got too big or long whether it's bushes or grass and doesn't actually do any real gardening.
Well today was supposed to be a gardening day and lovely weather for it it would have been too - but a call from my dad at 05:15 and 14 hours in A&E at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital put paid to that. He’s ok, staying in for a day or two but should be fine. It was an absolute pea souper on the way up, really thick fog but beautiful sunset on the way back home.
Forecast rain for tomorrow now gone and just dull and cold. Still going to try and get a couple of hours watching the car racing at Snetterton, it’s sort of on the way. [emoji846]
I got the grass cut today before the rain forecast tonight (it's not good enough to be called lawn). Ideally it ought to be dug up, the ground levelled and re-sown.Quote:

Mean daytime maximum temperature for May in this area is 15.5C so we're getting short changed so far. The record high for a day in May is 25.9C! No idea what year that was.
Trying to brighten up here, but still cold - 10c. Yesterday at Snetterton was freezing - I had 3 layers on and was still shivering, my hands went yellow and purple and numb, even in my pockets!

The people who service my car do that sort of racing and rallying. They are very good at it, the office is full of trophies, cups and shields. There is always a 'souped up' car or two in the car park or inside the workshop.
I feel a bit lacking when I pedal my Audi in for a service and MOT, yet it receives just as much care as any other car they have there.

Been sunny here today mostly. Feels like summer in the sun but walk into the shade and it's no different to January.
Saw the weather on TV yesterday they put up a map of the air temperature in Europe. Everywhere is warm air, even Iceland and Norway, there's one cold circle and it's right over us. Artic air coming down from the pole and making a beeline direct for the UK. Really is just taking the piss.
Starts getting a bit warmer from tomorrow.
