I agree, although you're not supposed to put milk in Darjeeling!:D
Fair enough if you like that way, but that does partly explain the colour. Scroll back to the pic I posted on the previous page of the Darjeeling and cake I had, and observe it's lovely deep amber colour, sans milk!:eyebrows:
I think the only 'fine tea' I might put milk in is Assam.
Marco.
Lady Grey. Teabag, 2m 20secs at 95c infuse. A little lemon and honey. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f85faf8133.jpg
I scrolled back and I am sure the cake was nice but the tea, I am afraid my dear Deirdry, is just a clear brown liquid.
You can make it pretty with fresh mint etc but on its own it's always gonna be a loser looks wise.
BTW I don't like Darjeeling without milk so Input it in. I also think it tastes best luke warm or even cold.
Lol, whilst I agree that tea isn't particularly photogenic, we'll have to agree to disagree on the colour... On my display, I see it as more of a lovely deep amber, just as it should be, not simply "brown liquid":eyebrows:
However, what makes you put milk in Darjeeling? It totally spoils it, IMHO, as it ruins its delicate floral flavour, and really doesn't taste nice. But I guess if you like like that, that's cool:)
Marco.
yup, bone china.

Lol - a deep russet, like a lovely autumn leaf. There's a considerable amount of red in it, and if you can't see that, then you iz either blind or looking at it on a shitty smartphone!:ner:;)
Certainly, on the 15-inch Retina screen on my Macbook Pro, it duznae look broon!
Marco.
Hehe - aye, just like your burd's knickers, which once were white?:D
Marco.
Dude I can see quatum events and entangled particles interacting across intergalactic distances. I am the Boltzmann brain that conceived this universe, so it's hardly surprising:D
Anyway, it's just in the reddish brown category I would say.
Check this out for pre and brewed colours.

No messing around with liquids and coils and regular hardware purchases. No liquid leaks all over the place.
Genuinely much closer to a real smoke than any vape.
£5 for 20.
95% less toxins than tobacco smoke. Lungs don't fill up with vape liquid that I used to have to cough out each morning. Plus no lung weasiness I get with vape liquid.
Also I don't suffer from too much nicotine which gave me a bad caffeine like feeling.
A blend of my own.
Rather nice too. Green and ginger, jade oolong and Earl greyhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...12f5ef0f01.jpg
A fine China tea caddy. I do like Alice in Wonderland stuffhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b6877e30cb.jpg

That looks fantastic, mate. And love the cup and saucer!:)
Marco.
Yeah, brewing times for these types of teas vary, so a bit of 'suck it see' is needed :)
The good thing about antique crockery like that now is it can be picked up cheaply from charity shops!
Marco.
Green tea and ginger.

Oh..there's two types of pot here...
This is an Indian herbal thing my wife has made every winter, You add one good tea bag near the end.
It is good to fight a cough , stuffy nose ect... add a little lemon and local honey and your good.
It has really helped a lot in the winter months. I decided to use some of her nice tea cups.
Fresh ginger, cinnamon, cloves,Dushanda, large tea bag, local honey and lemon.
You will feel better with in an hour.
Looks good, Jeff. I like natural stuff like that, when you've got a cold or whatever, as opposed to popping pills!
I'll have a look in our local asian shops and see if they have any:)
Marco.
Nepal black and spiced pear.
Again a nice mixhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...de2e2072b4.jpg
Whole milk,Cadbury hot chocolate and whipped cream.
Not exactly tea but it is perfect for a cold night when you gotta get up and start cooking a turkey at 5:00 am and Tea would keep me awake all night.
Looks good
I got this tea in a clearance bin for $1.00.
It's really dark in color but not very strong in flavor.
It pays homage to Queen Elizabeth II , they also had one for princess Diana ( people still profiting from her passing all these years later) .
They really missed a money making opportunity , they could have buried her with a cct camera and led lights.
I wonder how many people would pay for a private channel of 24 hour coverage of her internment?
They have done everything else to make money off of her.
Got all of our boxes of tea out today, we have way more than I thought because it was in cabinets everywhere. If we can't see it we buy more then find we had a box or two stashed already.
My wife Nosheen loves tea, so I put it all in one place . We are not the most organized, after grocery shopping we just fill holes in the cupboards and pantry Willie nillie.
I'm having a cup of Typhoo tonight.
Nice big collection. I've a good few now too. Gonna need to find a place for it myself.
Nosheen just did some black Friday shopping tonight and ordered a Royal Albert , country rose, China bone tea set.
The set of 4 ,cups, saucers, cake plates ,large tray, tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl.
We went to Macys and where ready to spend up to $800.00 .
Belive it or not we could get full place settings but not a matching tea pot ,sugar bowl and creamer from Wedgwood.
That was a deal breaker for her. We got a really nice set that all matched for $296.00.
Its not a big name but if it makes her happy, I'm happy.
Herbal concoction today.
Johar Joshanda.
