I need to tell you about the charging of the two DACs that you will be receiving.
The JKDAC (Sabre DAC chip) is the one with a toggle switch. It requires an external PS of >6V for powering the battery charger board in the device. It charges when turned off (toggle switched up). This is an older model.
The JKDAC32 (PCM5102 DAC chip) has two push buttons with red & green leds. This is the later model & charges from a 5V supply. This allows a spare USB port to be used for powering the battery charger board. A special USb cable is supplied to allow this. An external 5V PS could also be used. This device is designed to be always on charge, even when playing music. So the red button is always pushed in & a 5V supply attached. I believe you might need to charge this JKDAC32 before use?

Is there a charger for the 32?
No need - it charges from USB 5V & I provide a USB cable which plugs into a spare USB port & the other end has a 2.1mm plug which plugs into the JKDAC32 PS socket - this 5V powers the internal battery charger board in the device!Quote:

Can you confirm that you have received these items?

Remember the JKDAC (the one with toggle switch) will not charge via the USB power cable - only via the external power supply. The JKDAC32 (the one with red & green push button switches) may well need to be charged overnight before use?

Hey, guys, don't want to put a damper on things but I was hoping that the DACs would only be with people for about a week so that those interested got a fair crack at listening to it. So is a week on Saturday the 20th October?
