At long last! Images of the Cheviots uploaded. This time, I’ve taken notes as to how I actually did it so that I don’t run into these issues in the future.
On a more serious note, I’d find it really helpful and constructive if any fellow members would care to let me have their thoughts as to why no serious interest so far.
Well done with uploading images of your speakers. :)
Regarding the second part of your post, there could be several reasons why there has been little interest so far. The most obvious is that for some Members times are hard, and are unable to raise the necessary monies. Another reason is that many are away on holiday and whilst away do not login to the Forum. A third is that the speakers are collection only. And finally, your speakers may not necessarily have the WAF for their new home.
It's a shame as I think they are excellent speakers as well as looking good: if I was looking for a (third) set of speakers, I would certainly be interested.
Hi Barry.
Many thanks for your message. I very much appreciate your comments.
I’ll keep the ad ticking over for now and see if anything materialises.
It may just turn out that I keep the Tannoys and pair them with something like a fully serviced/refurbed Quad 303 or 306.
However, that would mean selling my Croft Integrated which I’ve had from new.
Thanks
Stuart
One other thought - you mention that one of the speakers has a mark on the top where a pot plant, or similar, had been placed. It might be a good idea to take a photo of the mark so prospective buyers can see it.
As always GLWS.
Following Barry's advice, I thought I'd up load some photos of the marks on "speaker no2"
Really frustrating. This worked a couple of days ago.
I’ll keep trying but in the meantime if there is any genuine interest in my Cheviots, I’ll gladly send some photos by e-mail if that suits.
