the 834p I have is an mm only version so I was using it with an SUT when using an mc . I see you have one in your sig so you could probably use that if you got one I would imagine.

You can get them with switchable mc but the mc gain circuit isn't up to much, certainly not in the league of a decent SUT.

The phono in the pics is only slightly more expensive and sounds better than even the highly modified EAR stage, plus it has a proper mc stage. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Alternatively I'd be happy to lend you my 834p for you to have a listen to and try with your SUT.

It's sitting here not doing much at the moment so just pay the postage and hopefully it will help you decide if you want to change.
