Yes, USB 2.0 can support up to 480 Mbit/s.
This is much higher than 24/192... ;) (which is about 4Mbit/s)

Trouble with folk these days is they listern to too many different people, magazines, spec sheets..At the end of the day who said USB & S/PDIF sound one better than each other.Over christmas i'll be trying DAC with both USB & S/PDIF see what the outcome may be, i betting now it's not worth the hassle.I was happy with the HRT 16BIT/44.1kHz streamer from USB, sound better than any CD play i'd heard streaming FLAC's.I only changed to 24 bit as it had pre-amp/headset output built in...Short lived fashionable fads that's all it is these days, who's heard a lot claiming digital connection on XLR is the best way to go? I'd say it's actually far from the best...Let your ears do the judging not a reviewer or a spec sheet, think your lucky stars you actually have DAC's with USB.

I only listen to ripped CD or downloaded mp3 so for me 24 bit and anything higher than 48KHz means nothing to my music collection.

Coax RCA is better than AES/SBU for digital (S/PDIF) for various reasons. Especially on specs. ;)
