A steal I'd say. Do not sleep on this if you are even contemplating modding your Techie. Most of us will have paid around £450ish for ours. This clearly represents a very big saving on a component which as part of the Techie upgrade path is an essential, precision piece.

Relatively easy as long as you can use a screwdriver.
Hardest part is trimming down the PCB "tails" to ensure that they don't short on the bearing.

I was apprehensive as I don't like doing this sort of thing at all.
Pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. The filing down of the PCB bits was the worst

It's good to see that my Upgrades are generating interest at the second hand level
I still have new bearings and Platters available if you have missed out!!
