Croft but MM only.
The old Lentek Integrated amplifier had a cracking phono stage.
I must say that I have to agree with Dave on this, mainly for the reason that this is the amp that I have and so therefore it must be the best one, or else I would not have bought it. QED.
I should add that I bought the amp from Hi-fi Dave, and that if any of you are considering entering the state of audiophile rapture that is the Croft Integrated Phono, you should give him a call as he will sort you out and his after sales service is top end, and he makes you cups of tea.
I love my Denon 350 SE amp
I have been pleasantly surprised by the phono stage in my Sony STR 6055 receiver. I have to admit to having dismissed solid state for some years now. Even my old faithful Akai integrated, my very first amp has a decent stage. The difference between these amps and stages compared with the very nice valve amps and stages is minimal and I'm tired of listening for minute improvements.
The Phono stage in my JVC AX Z1010TN showed my HiCAP powered NAIM Prefix a clean pair of heals.
Interestingly that apart from the Croft, which is MM, there have been no current amps nominated.
Best one ive had was my A1000 mm,mc stage. Expensive, no expense spared amp so youd expect it to be decent though. Ive had a pre with a nice stage in the nakamichi , but probably doesnt count
Myst Tma3. Interchangeable boards for MM and MC, both were stellar and the MC was something special design-wise in that it auto adjusted to suit your cartridge. Don't ask me how but that's what was reported at the time.
