Could get to a grand I guess but that is getting into Cheviot territory.
The seller also has a nice Yammy tuner. Very low bid so far and not so much time to go to auction end.

I actually prefer the Eaton's HPD295A tonally, to the Cheviot/Devon HPD315. It just seems to sound sweeter for some reason.
I'm always stunned by the sound of the Eatons. My Berkeleys are currently deconstructed so listening to the Eatons currently. Loads of texture, definition and outright engagement.
Oooh! Tannoy SRM 12B's in Farnborough. Scarce and very nice. These kick ass and sound superb, proper Tannoy monitors.

Yummy speakers - needs some work. Price needs to reflect that.
Could be a nice project for you @Marco and add to your speaker collection?

Shame about the horrible colourations. Me and Lowthers don't get on. :)
Eatons previously sold for £840 and now relisted. Not sure what happened. Probably a non payer.

These are a giveaway in my view https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mission-7...QAAOSwLzxdUXVX
Punchy, detailed and very well balanced with superb imaging, never a hint of fatigue. I cannot praise them enough.
I will always have a soft spot for the Mission 752 Freedom, it was hard letting mine go.

I changed an Elac driver in a paraline cabinet, (mono), for a PM6, and used that before going stereo with Tannoys.
Very fast, odd design, and I remember Donald Chave walking up Bromley High St to Smiths to buy cartridge paper with which to make the cones.
I have a Hi-Fi Choice - a smaller one, in which it says that Lowthers have one serious coloration which alone invalidated them from being considered Hi-Fi, and that there were many others also.
Ha! I was gonna post about that. You'd have to be very brave to take that on.
Nice pair of Cheviots came up today. Suspect they will get bid up to £800 - £950 at the close.
You say that but at least we know it's still working:
Used. An item that has been previously used. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or an item that has been returned to the seller after a period of use.*
Magnet looks like some of the Wharfedale ones.

Fairly sure it's the remains of a Whiteley (Stentorian) driver, HF1012 maybe. (yes, I've owned some :)). It's not worth a carrot!
I have a round magnet from one in my workshop somewhere.
Nice old Goodmans speakers - well worth saving.

Apparently it's been "stored". In the canal by the look of it. Still, if the bidding stays low I might be tempted. Looks like a Mk2 to me?
Seems the Quad 306 is rather more appreciated in Japan.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUAD-306-...sAAOSw8aBdTjJY
Having said that, there is definitely an upward trend in 306 prices in the UK. Asking prices seem around £100 higher than a year or two back.
Glad I bought myself a couple. Nice sounding amp! :)
World's cheapest passive pre-amp. Less than three quid!
Yes, I've mentioned it before, but it works really well with any power amp I've tried, so maybe somebody might want to try one. You could pay this much or more just for the pot.

Big vintage KLH speakers. Model 5, in Leyton, London. Lovely!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333319600684?ul_noapp=true
They are still good speakers even by modern standards and were a leading make many years ago. One of the brands Henry Kloss started, he was a major influence in Hi-Fi.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Kloss
Thanks for that Geoff - heard of all the other brands just KLH has never crossed my path before - every day’s a school day!
I always wanted to hear the KLH 9 'room divider' electrostatics.
To give an idea of size:
http://www.audiocircuit.com/A-Images...01-941-KLH.jpg
or even better (not that I'm interested in 3-way centre fill systems):

Today I might be disappointed in them, just as I was disappointed when I heard the Dayton-Wright electrostatics many years ago.
Would make a good bedroom system. The ladies can use them to protect their modesty :)
Dammit - I've just bought four turntables!

30 notes a deck is good.. spares alone worth a fair bit
Bargain I would have thought - they look a nice TT
Tannoy DC100 speakers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tannoy-DC...IAAOSwpFVdfAks
Don't be tempted, they're a poor example of dual concentrics, dull, two dimensional and coloured. The larger DC200 are even more coloured.
If you want cheap, the DC1000 will run circles around either.
Mission 752 Freedom in Oak which came at extra cost, excellent speaker, a classic and stone cold bargain at £110 Buy It Now and with 'Make offer' option https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mission-7...wAAOSwZUpdd8Ql
I'm always amazed how cheap these can be had for....
