Seiko time again

Seiko is quite smart.
I love the Russian job too
Had promised myself that I'd put the brakes on my watch purchasing for a while then this popped up on ebay at a good price

need to flog a few soon
Arrived today, £36 but is fitted with a £25 strap! (and there's a spare unused strap as well!)

More my type of watch. Good maker too. Was a good buy with 2 good straps
Nice watch Roy. Can I ask how old the watch is?
Really don't know David, it appears to be a current model.

£107 buys it for you Lawerence if you look at Roy's link.
Roy did it to me, showing off all those lovely watches until eventually I weakened and got my debit card out.
Looks like a US site to me? Have paid about £200 in import duties and fees on purchases in recent months so would rather avoid any more! A nice UK based second hand one with an extra strap would do me nicely thanks very much [emoji16]
Parnis do some nice Rolex GMT Master ‘homage’ (copy) watches

Nice little Parnis 'sterile dial' sub homage on a nato strap

Oozes class.
Very nice on a nato strap also.
Do you get hit by duties?
I received a bill for £65 recently for a £200 order (it was the Orchard Pecan pi), with import duty and VAT.

Good grief.. that’s cheap
Do you have a link?

That particular one was a one off pre-owned from a private seller but this seller is selling some and just accepted an offer of £47 for a braceleted version.

Thanks Roy
Useful to know.

I like that Parnis Roy, but please don't show links to cheap watches thank you.
Can't say I have Gaz, only got two Parnis's (got to be careful how you say that) with one on the way, bought from private UK sellers and they've been worth what I've paid for them. The ton mark from Parnis direct plus duty / tax / handling fee etc. would be overpriced for these watches imho.
I really like the styling of both these watches here..
Will have to decide https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...01e6d7bc89.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bdc390243c.png

Got a few Gigandets, they're very good for the money. Picked up another Parnis, going to gift the one on the nato strap to my cousin.

Just been offered this from an eBay seller for £60, so I thought why not?

Can't go far wrong at that price, have they put a new battery in?
I've decided on something understated for tomorrow :D

Don't see many wine watches.
Nice blue Orient today

Richard's post prompted me to dig this out of the safe, the sequel ;)

Lovely. I did think about an Exp II but anything over 40mm doesn't feel right to me - it's a lovely watch and I wanted it as an alternate to a GMT.
And the Exp I just suits any kind of strap - it keep my watch count down if I change the strap and not the watch
join the club!

Like Richard's Rolex more Roy. :ner:
Have a great Christmas everyone.
Merry Xmas David
and here's my no date sub :D

All subs are good subs!
TBH it looks like you have a great collection Roy. Mine is a lot more modest. But like with everything I insist on using them rather than just 'having' them. I have a Brietling that runs about 5 mins a fortnight slow (and it got worse after Breitling serviced it!!!) - that watch I've done everything but concrete in. I have a Sinn that I use for canyoneering and going away to places when I think a watch might be noticed.....
The one thing I don't do is dive in a Sub - a dive computer is much more efficient for that

I often wonder if I should pare down the collection (which stands at over 100 at the moment) & just have half a dozen or so 'decent' pieces but I enjoy the 'cheapies' as much as I do the more expensive pieces. I do try to wear them all, it takes me longer to decide on a watch to wear than it does my clothes.
Talking of subs (they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery)

Pick your comfort point...
spend a grand get a Daytona no-one but an AD could tell apart.
...but it’s not a Daytona.
Only the wearer knows the fake, and where’s the fun in that? :)
Agree, there’s some fantastic innovative design work being done in the Micro Brand world, I’d look to that before anything else.
That said,
love my Grail watches, good investments to pass on.
Yup, a modern pocketwatch, for different reasons wouldn't have same feel. No history for one.
I've 2 that are 130 yrs old.. You are investing in history there. As well as craftsmanship
I only have two watches: a 49 year old Rolex Oyster, which is worn everyday and has been all over the world with me, and a Bulova quartz, which is only worn with my Dinner Jacket, so far less frequently.
Last week I had occasion to wear the Bulova with my DJ, so thought I would post it here.
