I always drink alcohol-free beers if I have to drive. But they never taste the same as proper beer; and I have tried quite a few.
Discovered this in Aldi and thought I would give it a try:
Sainte Etienne, Premium Lager Beer
If you like Continental light lagers that are uncomplicated and easy going, then you will probably like this one. It's inoffensive, and seemingly knowingly middle of the road. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel or offer obscure flavour notes. It's trying to be an average lager and it does that brilliantly.
Brewed specially for Aldi, and intended to rival Stella Artois, it gets surprisingly good reviews:

Contrary to above link, the ABV on the Sainte Etienne we bought was 4.6%.

My new favourite is Estrella Damm 0.0 - I'd venture to say it's the most beer-like alcohol-free one I have tried, and I have tried quite a few, now!Quote:
