Always been fascinated by Krell. Recall reading about them in the early 'Nineties and whilst I made the name connection with Forbidden Planet I thought it was just a coincidence. Figured the company was owned by someone called Jim Krell or something - you know what crazy names some of these Yanks have. When I found out they had pinched the name from Forbidden Planet I decided they were too cool for school. Never thought I would get to have one in my system though.
Yeah. I always fancied a Krell. But I'm very happy with my 'mini Krells'. :)

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been looking at that earlier...but I already have a stepped attenator passive pre and according to Jez (and some other double e types) you can't get better than that. When I went passive it was that moment where you think 'F**K me this is the sound I've been looking for'- or at least the basis of it - so doubt I would ever go back to active.Quote:
