Actually, this is rather interesting. It's a modern incarnation of the classic John Linsley Hood class A amp design.
Beautifully made.

It sounds pretty damn amazing.
-- I'd expected it to be a bit laid back and soft sounding, in keeping with my general experience of class A trannies - but no, this is exciting and vibrant.

Rotel 603 receiver, sitting atop my Rotel 1412 amp.
I had been lusting after the ginormous 1603 receiver - but decided that the smaller 603 was more practical. Still looks seriously sexy, imo, get those grab handles. :D
Looks like serious scientific equipment, love it. That 1603 you mention, awesome great beast.
Talking of Rotel receivers, my brother used one of these with Celestion 44s for years. Sounded great with the 44s, and I just love the aesthetics.

If anyone fancies a vintage receiver, the RX-802 really is good and a lovely piece of kit in the flesh. Looks fab in the dark. People agree - Google it.
