govt has scrapped vat on home insulation, solar panels and heat pumps to drive down bills.
The vast majority of people still won't be able to afford them though, and those that can could afford to pay the VAT too.
Plus a lot of properties are unsuitable for heat pumps and solar anyway.
What's required is for water and power to be re-nationalised. Cutting out all the middlemen from dipping their beaks would reduce costs for everyone.

You can't even see it from the street. Here they love to rip down beautiful or interesting Victorian buildings and replace them with total eyesores that look even worse after a couple of years due to the shoddy materials they use. No-one on local councils seems bothered about that.
