Crazy - but look what he wants for their first LP:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pink-Floy...id=p5731.m3795
£764 (admittedly reduced from £850)! My copy cost me 36/6 (= £1.83) in 1967.
he states, have inspected under a magnifier and cannot find any damage. then goes on to say its jumps!!:wanker:
Do you think he has the decimal point in the wrong place
Celestion A1 speakers, £300 or offers. Bargain! They sound amazing. In Sunbury-on-Thames.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Celestion....c100290.m3507
These are rare, hardly ever seen for sale.
They were expensive for a compact speaker in their time, Worth it though.
Review here that sums them up: https://hometheaterhifi.com/volume_4_3/celestiona1.html
Yamaha NS 1000 M

He’s rebuilt them in a larger cabinet and converted them to reflex operation.
You can read about the mods here: https://audionostalgia.co.uk/yamaha-...x-diy-project/
I’m not entirely sure I approve but I’d still like to hear them!
They were indeed.
There's a guy selling a pair of Harbeth who responded to my asking if it would possible to listen to them either before buying, or on pick up, by just saying it wasn't possible "but trust me they work fine"
Is it really that unreasonable to want to check something is working before handing over £1600?
I replied wishing him luck but saying I guessed that I wouldn't be buying them, he replied again with "I never thought you would"
Seems very odd to me!

Sounds like a weirdo. Best avoided.
Sounds to me like this person already had a long series of dumb questions being asked about the speakers. who were just time wasters and was fed up with answering them. Know the feeling well. However, I have sold many items that had an endless stream of dumb questions (with the answer already in the description I might add) and more often than not the person asking the most questions usually buys the item. so there is no excuse for such a response from a seller no matter how cheesed off they get with answering questions.
He might also have sold off the rest of his system so cannot demo them?
Nice pair of Radfords listed on ebay...Listed as excellent condition, but surrounds need doing on most of the drivers...???...surely...or am I on route for SpecSavers 2moro am?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radford-M...d/113265117467
It's the lighting I think Don. The bass drivers are OK and the mids are just a bit wrinkled. Both use vinyl surrounds that tend not to perish, but do look wrinkled with age. Doesn't seem to affect the performance. They are Goodmans drivers.
Cheers Geoff...looks like Specsavers here I come...
a rare pioneer turntable. pa1000 arm too.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pioneer-D...kAAOSw1HpbdKsD
It may be a trick of the light or a funny camera angle effect, but that arm looks distinctly wonky to me.
I truely struggle with the concept that a turntable should be sold without a headshell on the end of the arm
I know it effects nothing but still..
Big Altec Model 17 dual concentric speakers, in Brighton. I expect these to fetch a pretty penny. Wish I had room for them.

Gumtree - Celestion Ditton 15 for £20 in Caldicot, look nice condition with boxes

Anyone here have pockets deep enough for some vinyl?

Even if it was mint (which it isn't) I wouldn't contemplate more than a tenner
Tannoy 635 speakers in Welling. Fairly rare and quite nice, may go cheap.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tannoy-Fl...QAAOSwEbhbrlUX
The listing for these Altec 17s was discontinued. Pity as I was interested to see how much they actually would go for. And to dream where I could have put them. :)
I expect a private deal was concluded. Let's see if they reappear soon at a high BIN price.
Decent looking pair of Tannoy Eatons in Nottingham.
