I don't know - ask the Italians.
Do we have any public statues of any of the Roman Emperors who presided over the Roman occupation of Britain in this country?

People called the Romans they go to their homes.
Go home? This is motion towards isn't it boy?
Romani ite domum... do it by morning or i'll cut your balls off!
What I can't understand is why there aren't any statues of our last great prime minister, Tony Blair. I mean Iraq and all that, but who cares? I've got two words for you, M People.
I think my brain might have had a funny turn during the night, nothing in the last four posts makes any sense to me
And I thought our last great Prime Minister was Jim Hacker.
Aren't benefits tenants just the best?
Yesterday I started replacing a house of windows and front door at a rental property. I was warned that the tenant was a bit odd. He took himself off upstairs while we replaced the lounge window and front door, but when I shouted upstairs that we were finishing for the day, and that I'd lock the new front door and post the keys, I got no reply. I assumed he was having a kip (most benefits tenants play by night and sleep all day ime).
Went back this morning, and couldn't rouse him. Fearing he might be dead or even worse we broke through an old (next-to-be-replaced) window. Just as the guy turned up. He'd snuck out yesterday, stayed out into the evening, then came home to find himself locked out. So he went and slept on a mate's sofa. So the constant smell of weed yesterday wasn't him, but his neighbour.
Seemed ok about it all, and went off to the shop while we broke into his house, to buy a can of beer. At 9am.
Bet he couldn't do it twice!

I can see that look catching on with caravanners.
To get it back on is simple enough: place some planks on the ground at the entrance for the van to reverse onto. Then when roof is over its desired position, deflate van tyres and slowly reverse some more. Then bugger off, sell the van and never return :)
Jimmy carr gypsy holocaust joke was well funny, haven't looked on Twittet - or PFM - yet but I imagine they're all wetting their pants.
How the fuck did that prat Robert Preston get thr Itv news at 10 gig? Last night he was hinting that Johnson was slipping into Trumpian aka Fascist behaviour. Can we expect to see Johnson's supporters march on Parliament when he gets the boot?

I never pay full price - they are going for £9 at the moment. Cotton, decent weight, no logo, range of plain colours. Very good quality. I have bought from them for years.
Recently I have bought some long sleeves Tees. I like those too.

They've been tinkering with that idea for generations. I remember the ZETA Project from when I was a kid.

During my time at the Marconi Research Centre we designed and built some gear for the Joint European Torus at Culham. I have seen the device during a visit there, and indeed it does look impressive, both in size and of it's enormous thirst for electricity; but as a one of the Culham staff remarked: "It is a crude machine".
Bit of a whiff here.

In that time it also spent £240,000 on costs grouped under the heading of fundraising - made up of £162,336 in management costs, which included £126,424 in "fundraising consultancy fees" and £20,884 in advertising and marketing costs.

lady met, clarissa dick is resigning.
seems like every day now there is someone being sacked or suspended or something for making some sort of politically incorrect comment but they never report what the comment was so we can make up our own minds.

Neil Coyle, the MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark, has been accused of using offensive language in conversation with a reporter at Strangers' Bar, who said it caused him to feel "uncomfortable in my place of work".
No mention of what he is supposed to have said. Plus it's worrying that these days anyone can just claim you said something and bam! - that's it you're suspended or sacked.
Why not just tell the person to his face that he's out of order and to pack it in? Instead they have to go running off to teacher. 'Miss! Miss! That boy said something bad!'
I suspect the reporter is a delicate little flower who might be better off in another job where he doesn't have to encounter real life as much. Or he needs to be given a reporting job that might give him some perspective about what makes him 'uncomfortable.' Reporting from the front-line in a war for example.

People are being very naughty!
ruskies say they wont invade ukraine, so obviously the will... us and uk getting citizens out that want to go. im betting if he does, then china will go into taiwan shortly.
territory grabbing like this spells war across world..
Putin will do whatever he likes. Nobody can stop him if he marches in.
There'd be a big fuss from around the world, then behind the scenes the banks will say it's bad for business and tell 'em all to shut up.
Not so sure about China, their economy relies on world wide exports and being boycotted would be a disaster.
i see one of the 3 lassa fever cases in uk has died.. dangerous shit that and as yet no vaccine... first cases here since 2009

Russia are the weak ones here, threatened by Nato aka the US on its borders. It pains me to read in the Times AND Guardian articles supporting Western military action, I mean really, you gonna fall for this shit again?
