Yes, you're right, got confused with some Technics kit I was also looking at - the JVC was 1976-78.

A friend of mine back in 1975 or so had one to drive his IMF Professional Monitors. It was a muscular receiver, very brutish.

Having looked at a few more pictures on the web I'm now wishing I had won the bloomin' thing - blue meters, as well!
