I had this pairing in the eighties - with the upper preamp in the listing - I think it was 170 watts into four ohms, less into eight. I made it from a kit. Not too shabby - I seem to remember it easily seeing off my mates Naim kit (NAP 160?). I replaced it with a Krell KSA 100 mk2/KSL. Better, yes, but the Crimson stuff stayed with me for nearly a decade very happily and musically.Quote:
