See post 793:eyebrows:. I do quite like them but prefer my little KEF101s. If I could get that much I would be tempted to sell them. Stupid prices when you struggle to get £500 for 57s these days.

Good in their day, but a bit wooly. What interests me is the seller's promise to list a NEAL cassette deck. Brilliant machines.
Yeh i know im hoping it's the one i want :eyebrows:
Given the vintage of the rest of the system, I'd lay bets on it being a 103.
a '140' pleeze
Just got my eBay score up to 2000 transactions today with 100% positive feedback. Nice.
My Sterling LS3/5a's would probably be better as they are MUCH newer and have almost certainly been used much less and I wouldn't expect anything like that crazy £2,400..
For some reason Chartwell have a bit of a cult following yet they are made EXACTLY the same as any other LS3/5a as that's what the BBC standard called for.. I just don't get it..
So come on then anyone want to offer me £2k for mine? I don't think so :mental:
Mine are sitting on some Partington Dreadnought stands and have been on my landing, with a sheet over them, for some time now..
I must get round to sellling mine some day... however I KNOW AoS is NOT the place to sell them...
however I KNOW AoS is NOT the place to sell them...(Ninanina)
Double why? :scratch::scratch:
S.
Do you not remember the last time Bev tried to sell them :eek::sofa:
I believe luminous gimp masks, along with magnifying bell-end polishers, are currently his biggest sellers :D
Marco.
Defo! Do that, and he throws in a self-lubricating sphincter-widening tool (and some duck butter) for free!! :eyebrows:
I believe that’s very popular with the Brighton boys...
Marco.
Enough of this gay banter.
I'm quite tempted by this Akai amp, possibly put together an entire Akai vintage system. Looks to be near mint:

I like Vintage Akai amps, my amp the same as this one http://hificollector.blogspot.co.uk/...r-akai-am.html
Still sounds great after all these years.
i had an akai amp that i sold here recently. it was rather good.
Akai AA 1030 is quite a sleeping hound worth looking out for..........

might be quite good. sure ive heard one before but not as dual monos
More crazy bidding. A Goldring Lenco G88 that needs (probably minor) attention, with seven days still to go and it's already up to £360!!:stalks:

I was considering a bid myself, but not at silly money.
Can't afford a Zeta grab this

Just won myself a nice set of NOS Brimar 6SN7s (probably late 50s/early 60s vintage), in original boxes (with black glass), for my Copper amp: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brimar-6SN...p2047675.l2557

Not bad for £66… I’ve paid that before for one! :)
Marco.
Aye always a good idea to keep em stocked up whenever possible
Yup, dude, they can go down at anytime, and I hate how current production shee-ite sounds!
Marco.
Just snapped this up with a best offer

I've seen Zeta arms go for a whole lot more!
I'm sure this would be of interest to those members who love 1950's audio gear:

Just stick it on your Rusco deck for the full effect.
think they are classing it as a 301 equiv which it aint
up to 433 now.. incedible. should have kept yours
I expect it's the decent cosmetic condition that is pushing the price up. The front 'apron' that houses the controls is plastic and many examples show wear. I wonder what it will eventually fetch?
It's a really nice sounding TT. Mechanically not a lot different to the GL75. The later G99 is just as good too (had a mint one of them as well).
that dieter rams braun tt is back up. it failed to get a bid last time as is the sony. bids start at 199. they are both nice decks
