Hi There...My homebuild stuff

I bought a very cheap German one for that particular job...75-100 dollar
it worked okay !!!
I gues it took me about a good 40 hours to do all the puzzle-like cutting with it.
Do buy a bundle of thin blades...the break very easy ;)

If you want to go that way pay attention that you use different panels in thickness and wood...in order not to create a dominant resonance.
The panels I glued together (with a variation of soft and hard compound to glue with) varied in 12-22 mm thickness and I used e.g. Beech, Multiplex, Merantie, "Spaanderplaat", "Softwood" and sheets of Lead in between.
Beware in the end the Mid can only be lifted safely by 2-men.:eyebrows:

I'm quite used to that, my speakers are only just over a foot wide, about two foot tall & only 18 inches or so deep - yet they weigh in at over 168lbs (76Kg) each :eek:

Add in the stand & they total just over 102Kg..

Good point with the different thickness materials :) I have other ideas that should help things but i do like the puzzle pattern one so will go with that ;)

I recently finished a scaled down version of my PiTbull Transport.
It is for a friend and he even sold a very expensive Wadia for it...reason....it brought more emotion in the music...now that is a reward :)

Yepp, a lot of it is pretty much identical although the big Pitbull uses a handmade aluminum laserboard and RVS laser guidance rod together with a seperate motor/spindle suspension and a laser-geartrain tensioner...;)
