working now must have had sufficient recovery time :)
My heart bleeds for the poor bastards; mind you couldn't they just charter a yacht or is that just so "pre covid"?

If you muddle up front with back when putting on a jumper or T shirt look for the label sewn in the bottom of the side seam and put it bottom left. Works every time.
I just know you're all checking. :)
Provided you don't put it on inside out
My dad told me about when his brother once came to stay for a week, and brought his new girlfriend with him. She was a total slob. Every morning she came downstairs wearing the same white t shirt, which accumulated more and more ketchup stains down the front as the week wore on.
Then one morning she came down in another white t shirt, this one apparently stain free - until she took her cardigan off...
why is it if you don't check first you'll put it on back to front every time, even though it should be a 50-50 chance?
But there is a label sewn on the inside at the back of the neck of all the shirts I have. The only time I rummage around looking for labels at the side near the base is to check the washing and ironing details.
I always twig that my shirt is on back to front when I struggle with the buttons.
I worry more about people that wear their trousers back to front.
handy if you have diarrhoea :booty:
I see those 'Insulate Britain' idiots got sent down. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...?ocid=msedgntp
"Insulate Britain" spokesperson Liam Norton lives in a "E" (energy efficiency) rated flat, apparently he can't afford to pay for loft insulation.
I suppose he sees that this campaign will get it done for free if successful.
it only costs 3/4 hundred... less maybe if a small flat. mine was done twice free of charge. would freeze yir bollocks off in that loft now lol
still got birds in it tho; guess its warmer than outside on a tree

Customer of mine wants one of these to go with his Chow and his Tibetan Mastiff. His wife says no.
Daft bugger
My wife’s boss got a St Bernard. It’s now fully grown, and doesn’t like being left alone. It literally ate half the sofa.
lol - I bet Bernie Winters never had that problem. Or maybe he did.

So now they want to stop over 60's driving. What a country.

looks like they got he wrong age group.
I am in my sixties and I'm fine driving unless it happens to be during my afternoon nap time
ive redone link
just go whole hog and put over 70's and the disabled down. that should save them some money:eek:
of course rich folk could buy themselves more years;)
Just the kind of nonsense you can expect to see in the Express. A comment by one reader tells you all you need to know about this particular rag and its readers:
"How many youngsters can match my driving record of 56 years with no points?" Duh, I'm sure the answer is none.

I can get a bit drowsy sometimes so to keep my energy levels up I have a bag of Werther Originals in the door pocket :) Keeping the window wound down and ditching the tartan travel rug helps too.
I find a regular jolt from a tens machine attached to my knackers keeps me alert .

thanks to Bob Monkhouse :)
He wrote gags for Bob Hope and he pinched a lot of Hope's schtick in return.

4 cans of White Lightening will go in it though, seen that demonstrated.
Started getting milk delivered this week, two pints twice a week. Comes in bottles just like in the olden days.
Will have to remember to put the empties out though. Not done that since about 1980. Also forgot to ask how much it costs, hopefully it's not more expensive than the corner shop.
We went back to delivered milk a few years ago, as I wanted to support local business, 2 pints each day, and he collects his money each Friday. That would have been ok, and I didn't even mind paying a bit more, but...
Often delivery didn't come till after I'd gone to work, so sometimes it was a toast breakfast (put me in a shit mood for the day. Also he would rock up every third or fourth week (not always Friday) and expect a big lump of cash. So... supermarket pay-as-you-go milk again.
Let us know how you get on with yours, and if you decide to get your bread off Two-bun Ted from Teddington.
The mutt is off to the vet's shortly to have a small lump on her nut checked out. I expect it'll need surgery to remove it, so that'll be another big bill!
Just got back. The small lump is unidentified, so I had the option of lab tests followed by whatever treatment might be prescribed or removal. It's to be removed! Why mess about? The three minute 'consultation' cost me fifty quid and surgery estimates for the little bump are "between £500 and £600". That large extra home by the sea has to be paid for I guess .
Not cheap is it.. another reason I don't have a pet now. The main one is I couldn't look after one.
Hopefully it's just a cyst
The folded scooter. It's heavier than I had hoped tho.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...50dfeee845.jpg
Hi Geoff, sorry to hear about your dog, I'm sure it will be ok though.
I seem to remember it being a Staffy?
If so; I understand that "fatty lumps" (lipomas) are quite common on the breed as they get older.
Get the vet to have a bit of a hunt for other lumps while removing it - not a big problem. You did the right thing going to the vet.
I was talking to the wife of a, retired, local vet. One of his gun dogs needed looking at and he was furious about the way vet fees have gone up since he retired (not sure why he didn't just do it himself though )
My previous little dear was Staffy x Boxer - beautiful dogs
I reckon vets are in cahoots with pet insurance companies to artificially inflate treatment costs to frighten owners into insuring their pets. Next time you visit make a note of how many pens, mugs, baseball caps etc you can see with pet insurers' names on them. And check out the big sticker on that helicopter hiding round the back.
And pet insurers will load everything in their favour. Older or unwell pets will have unaffordable premiums, assuming cover is even offered.
