ive read up a lot since buying the decca,i would have to say all the hype about them being special is true,im very happy with mine,i also read that they can fail,i wonder if that still applies to rebuilt ones,i would like to think there is some kind of warranty once rebuilt.Quote:

The Decca International unipivot pickup arm was of course designed for use with Decca cartridges. It was a lowish mass device with fluid damping provided by a 'well' at the pivot. It worked perfectly with my Decca cartridges and sounded very good. The damping was specifically intended to give low compliance cartridges a means of properly articulating the stylus excursion. In other words, the stylus was provided with a load additional to the arm mass.
The arm also gave excellent results with other cartridges of any compliance, with damping adjusted accordingly.

Yes I was eying that but will depend what it goes to whether I would bid. It’s the same output section as my sta 100 but a solid state driver and splitter section. I bet it sounds pretty good.
