I remember Pamela, Neil...that would be Buck Rogers in the 25th Century......she was also Agent 36 in the Nude Bomb, and specialised in episodes of American Dramas etc...Think she was also in Marcus Welby MD...very striking woman and don't blame you for having a fancy for her.:eek:

Mmmm... Erin Grey..... But let's face it you wouldn't kick either of them out of bed on a dark night. Neither of them holds a candle to Ornella Muti in the Flash Gordon film, though. And whoever it is who plays Wilma in the old thirties serial is pretty cute too.

Jean Rogers - that's her. How could I forget. She'd be over a hundred years old now, hard to believe. I suppose the casting couch was in regular use back then so a high standard of babe was pretty much inevitable...:)

They don't show them on the telly any more but you can watch all of the old Flash Gordons and Buck Rogers on u-tube

There was a quality, a look to women back then, that frankly is lacking these days.

The BBC used to show those during the summer holidays when I was much, much younger, along with things like the Flashing Blade, The Whirly Birds and White Horses.

Yes that was it, a TV series was commissioned out of the film, with good moments but equally at times quiet dire and certainly more so as it went on and ran out of steam, ideas and money.

Just done a check and she hasn't appeared in anything since 1984, I was still in school when Buck Rogers started - school boy crush.

Well, since we've be a talkin' sifi, tonights feature will be Hammer's 1967 version of Quatermass and the Pit starring Andrew Keir and the delectable Barbara Shelley. sifi in 60's did not get much better than this, even though the effects are pretty crumby, it is a very atmospheric film still.
