Yes, it is a remarkable little amp Tony. I'm using mine all the time and all my bigger 'fancier' amps are sidelined at the moment.
I'm sure you could locate an RCA/phono switching box to provide more inputs.

I have the same type power supply, it's OK, but it's power efficiency is not as good as some others, mine gets a bit warm in use, the one I prefer is a genuine Toshiba 19V laptop unit. This unit runs much cooler.Quote:

Well it's here and sounding awesome! The L Pass2 pre-amp. Love the button controlled inputs and gain level x3.
This should be a great match to the Quad power amps as they have varying input sensitivities. I reckon this could be the only one in the UK.

That's the 507, I bought it new around 2003. It doesn't get a huge amount of use, I've been running the Trichord Research Digital Turntable mostly lately. As a stand alone unit the Meridian is excellent though.Quote:

Which do you prefer Geoff? I favoured the 306 over a 606.
I'm actually using a 707, but they sound near enough identical to the 606 Mk.II. Anyway, I think I may also be leaning more towards the 306, at least in my current system setup. Of course with different speakers or pre-amp or front end that could be different. That's not to say the 707 isn't good though, because it sounds very fine.Quote:

Hi there, old post I know; I've just been given a single Eagle DL 67 speaker (the other was lost...). I would like to bring it back to life for it to find a new home and life. The potentiometer, the capacitor and the coil do look clean, in shape and good. A multimeter test could tell otherwise, that I'll do later.Quote:
