That lamb was excellent - it doesn't really get much better. Very little fat, too.
Extra virgin olive oil par boiled and shaken roasties. Gravy with a myriad of different ingredients.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...54748cf049.jpg
We couldn't get a free table until 3.30pm, so we were both starving!
Every other bugger had gone when we arrived:

Del had to start, fried artichokes with a herb mayonnaise:

I had seabass goujons with tartare sauce:

For main, Del had a carrot and parsnip nut roast, with roast potatoes, seasonal veg and vegan gravy:

And I had roast porchetta (pork, but a nicer cut than norm - very succulent) with roast potatoes, gravy, and apple sauce. We shared some cauliflower cheese:

For pudding Del had maple and pecan nut cheesecake:

And I had apple and pear crumble with custard (pic taken before custard was poured):

Everything was excellent:cool:

Top notch, Justers. Roasties look great. Good to know you can still find quality meat in a supermarket - but it would be good as it's Welsh!;)
Only slight criticism is the 'out of a jar' mint sauce. It tastes so much better, dude, made from fresh mint leaves, and it's piss easy to do.
Marco.
I always used to make it from garden mint when I used to live with my parents. Had this ace roller to cut the mint up with.
TBH I just couldn't be arsed - doing that was enough effort.
Yeah, I suspected as much:)
Any thoughts on my lunch out earlier?
Marco.
Not really apart from I hate parsnips. Food looks nice enough. Regular haunt or first time there?
