I have the set - but IMO it went down hill in Series 4 when they were stranded in America. Otherwise a 'jolly good jape', by two actors who were born to play the parts.

Lake was 6 months with child and had hid the fact until she got the role, much to Sturges' chagrin.. Apparently he tried to attack her... McCrea disliked Lake as well(she was apparently a real pain)
Now classed as a classic, it struggled initially.
a bit more modern although subject is older... Open Range from 2003.. directed and produced by Kevin Costner, starring Robert Duvall and Costner, with Annette Bening and Michael Gambon.
beautifully shot and well acted.. a superb film and was a hit at the box office.

For one reason or another 'er indoors wanted to see Michael Jacksons thriller, so had a look for it on eBay and found a cd of his best tunes and a DVD with Billie Jean, beat it and thriller. Cobbled together the DVD recorder to the tv and audio to a T amp and Celestine ditton 15XR ( I think ) I have in the lounge and settled down to watch last night. I have to say I don't think I ever saw all the thriller video before. Sound was ok but I couldn't get her to go down the garden to the listening room where I'm sure it would sound better and have a bigger screen. £4 for the cd and DVD seems a fair price to keep 'er happy
