Only thing I've been struggling to get is sparkling water, wine and lager seem to be in plentiful supply :D

Interesting.... No shortages of fook all up so far up here. They were even giving away free bog roll in Lidl the other day if you spent so much on certain other items!:D
Marco.
Cool, so basically, just 'lightly soiled' - no chunky bits?
Marco.
Excellent. I applaud your keenness for recycling.
Marco.
got food coming tomorrow again. should do me for a while. going to make a green bean and spicy tomato dish if the beans come:eyebrows:
Nice one. Is it out of the Bryn Williams book you got recently - or if not, have you used it yet?;)
Marco.
I got the idea there but found a recipe online that's closer to what I wanted.
Be nice with meat on side and maybe roasties.
You don't need any meat, daftee - the whole idea is that the veg are the star of the show!:ner:;)
However, bulk it up with some tatties, by all means.
Marco.
Yeah I know but I've some meat to use up. But there will be plenty left got a vegi feast too.
Is it from that beef joint? If so, why not do a curry with it? I don't think meat should ever be served 'on the side', as sort of token gesture. It should be the main event, much like the veggie dish you're doing:)
Marco.
Lol, some bacon with a side of.... Bacon? What about a bacon pudding, washed down with bacon juice:D
Marco.
Is that what you say to your veggie girlfriend when you 'sully' her with your pork sword?:eyebrows:
Marco.

When everything in your life is right on track, it's easy to believe that things happen for a reason; it's easy to have faith. But when things start to go wrong then it's very hard to hold on to that faith. It's hard not to wonder whose reasons these things happen for. People like to examine the things that frighten them, to look at them and give them names, so saints look for God, and scientists look for evidence. They're both just trying to take away the mystery, to take away the fear. We all like to think that we have some control over the events in our lives, and a lot of the time we can fool ourselves into thinking that we really are in charge. But then something happens to remind us that the world runs by its own rules and not ours and that we're just along for the ride.
Think you've posted that on the wrong thread, daftee!;)
Otherwise, it's a bit random...
Marco.
Lol - I thought it belonged more on the Covid thread, in reference to what I wrote about not hiding from things and fronting up your fears;)
Over there, what you've just written makes more sense:)
Marco.
Lol... Don't see why not - it's certainly had plenty of views!:D
You should always read stuff that's uncomfortable because it challenges your preconceptions, if by doing so, you might learn something new.
How's that for profound?;)
Marco.
Lol... She's just walked in the door, so you know the usual routine...:D
She says she's tired, after a difficult day with some problem students, so afterwards I'll run her a bath, so she can chillax. Usual routine there too, of course... Just the RIGHT amount of bubbles, with the water at just the RIGHT temperature, and a glass of chilled Prosecco delivered, before I close the bathroom door and leave her to it (face time with pals on her phone) lol!
She's just about worth it, though;)
Marco.
ah poor soul.. problem teens; all one needs, the little buggers. my granson is 14 next week. he will soon become obnoctious im betting;)
Lol, indeed. She's generally good with them though, as they think she's 'cool'. She's had umpteen emails from her students who missed her badly when she was off work with Covid. Autistic kids can sometimes be more challenging, though.
However, this is her first week back with students, and it was like some sort of celebrity had walked in the door, with her 'fan club' all going YAY, Del's back!:yay::carrot:
They didn't like her replacement much, as she was no fun, lol. Del plays games with them and all sorts, and just acts like a big kid herself, but at the same time successfully teaches them the required curriculum. That's why she gets results (and is also so highly though of)!
Marco.
dance gal...

Lol... You know she likes a boogie in her bare feet!:D
Marco.
Yes, profoundly depressing!:D
Whatever future I have, I intend on enjoying and living it to the full!:exactly:
Marco.
I see Gavin Williamson has been booted from his job as Education Secretary. I wonder where he'll go now to say nothing useful?
Lolz... You can 'live the dream' as soon as you retire, but you said you don't want that, and love working, so I guess you're 'living the dream' now - enjoy!:D
Marco.
Had my right ear cleaned out the day before yesterday, bloody big lump of very dark wax came out.
I hadn't realised quite how much my hearing had deteriorated. But also, I just feel happier/more active - could just be a psychological effect, but bugger it I feel good
Good stuff. Try a colonic next, and you'll be ready to run a marathon!:D
Marco.
a load of gluten does it for me :ner:
Despite the writing having been on the wall for non-renewable fuels for generations, the suppliers apparently have been unable to redirect their investments and now want compensating. Unbelievable!

That's pretty much what I had many years ago, the evening before an endoscopy. A nurse came to the house and stuck a soapy pipe up me bum. That did the trick :) I certainly felt on top of the world after that, though in reality I was just on top of a big pile of shit...
Yeah well, what exactly is 'living the dream'? It'll be subjective and different for everyone. I may not be 'living the dream', but I have a nice lifestyle, want for nothing and am happy, healthy and contented, as is Del, so I guess that'll do for now!:D
Marco.
Can't stand folk with a permanent scowl on their chops, and who are always in a bad mood!
Marco.
wat you talkin' 'bout?? :eyebrows: i try to smile as much as possible. its easier:)
