Are you sure? I can honestly say I've never met any girl called C350CDi.
Maybe it's not a common moniker in Hampshire... :D

I think he's referring to BRAbus:eyebrows:
A huge 38DD 'cup' full of fun....;)
Marco.
Andy (Rexton), if you're after a NOS stylus for your SC35C, snap this up one, mate: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/shure-sty....c101196.m2219
Marco.
Purchased. Delivery date not until end of September ???!!!???? The JICO will probably be here before the NOS arrives.
Nice one. I'll be really interested in what you think of it compared with the Jico. The difference should be rather marked!:)
Just remember when it arrives to track it at 4.5g, which is the optimal figure for VTF.
Marco.
No probs. Just remember you'll have to wait a few weeks before I get them set up and broken in. I'll have to do the listening on my SME 3012 as my SME V 12 doesn't have the ability to track at 4.5g  Incidently I love my M55E + JICO (s) stylus it's really very very good so I'm hoping the SC35C setup is in another league. I'll be using a very heavily modded EAR 834P clone, my Croft preamp has had extensive Nick Gorham mods but I just don't see, to get on with it very well.
Lol, ok firstly, your 3012 will be a no-brainer better arm to use with a low-compliance cartridge, such as the Shure, simply through design, regardless of anything else. So defo go with that, but fit the highest-mass detachable headshell you've got to it (minimum 12g)!
Why did you get Nick to 'extensively modify' your Croft, and not Glenn? What exactly have you had done to it?
Marco.
I got Nick to do the mods suggested by Glenn. Glenn did his usual disappearing trick when the cricket started. I wanted the mods doing ASAP. You might want to have a look for my thread detailing the mods. I've since had more mods done. My phonostage is specifically modded for the RCA 6591, you might want to make sure the one fitted in your pre-amp is being fully driven with correct voltage. My EPOCH was a little under powered. I also had all the tape functions removed from my Croft. Have a look in here

Alan (Firebottle) has since modified the Croft even further with individual valve regulation. Didn't you have a tube rolling session with the small valves in the PSU? What conclusion did you come to?
Okies... Hope you haven't gone too far and fecked things up mate, especially as you say you can't seem to get on with it. A properly modded Croft should blow you away instantly!
What is it you don't like about the sound? I'd have been a bit more patient and waited until Glenn was free, but not to worry...
Anyway, this is the thread you want, in reference to the PSU valves. I settled on a NOS La Radiotechnique, see here:

Undoubtedly the best I've heard!:)
Marco.
Thought I'd better pick you up on this, it wasn't individual regulation> I corrected the supply voltage that was rather low due to an out of spec resistor and also re-configured the heater wiring so it could be used without phono stage vales fitted if required.
This also enabled alternative higher heater current valves to be paired in the line stage, which wasn't possible before as you found out.
