Lol. It doesn't understand the grandkids fine with me usually tho.
My daughter is in the school play and her character has a Scottish accent. we have been using this video as a coaching tool for the accent.
Her accent is more Scouse than Scots, but we are getting there.
The drama teacher is giving her a bit of leeway regarding re- scripting, and thanks to my “native” input, her play now includes some authentic Scots slang.
Including ( im proud to say ) “ awa an’ bile yer hied “ and “jings crivens, help ma boab”
Teacher loves it. !!!

I dont know if you know the story of the “Lost Tribe”.....very interesting.
Some words can have multiple meanings. It can be confusing. Its all in the inflection.
For example when I first heard that video and the use of the word “eleven”, I thought they were talking about bread :)
