One of my favourite films.
First saw it on release, with my father (not sure what the BBFC classification was at the time, but I was only eleven, so might have needed to be accompanied by an adult.) Anyway it was a good job he was there, as he could explain the 24 hour clock system to me.
To receive a 'U' certificate the original UK cinema version was overdubbed to remove all of Barnsby's (richard Harris)uses of the word 'bloody' (the word was replaced with the less offensive 'ruddy'), and this same print appeared on early video releases.Quote:
